yesterday we went skiing again! i was snowboarding down a slope and totally took someone out!
somebody had the stupid idea of blowing snow on the slope while it was open and i was going down the hill really really fast and then the snow was blowing in my face and filled my whole face and goggles
so then i started to slow down and then there was a kid stopped in the middle of the slope and i hit him and took him down! it was awesome! and ops and funny!!!!

Today is snowed barley for like 15 min. Didn't even cover the ground, but hey! there was some snow...it is coming!!!
Bass playing sure brings tears. While I was playing "God of this City" -Chris Tomlin, I was getting a few tears. It is one amazing touching song. You should go check it out.

Thanksgiving

HaPPY THANKSGIVING! On Thanksgiving I had to work 7 hours. Phew it was a long day, and then come home and lots of people come over to celebrate thanksgiving. Matt played guitar and I played bass and we sang some songs. It was so much fun to play along. Sometimes it was hard to play because some of the songs i never had heard of and some were really old songs. I can't wait until my sister and brother come home! 13 dAAYS!!!! WAHOOOOO It is going to be so much fun!

I am just doing school work today. Yep got a couple of days behind in math and bible.

Phew, That was a long 8 hour day at work. Left around 10.40 and didn't get home until 19.30. The sun was shining so pretty on the fjord on the way to work today! Today at work I saw a guy with a Peru shirt on! It is exactually like one i bought. (my brown one) My cousin Kelly bought one too, but his is red. I was so excited but he wasn't in my line he was in a line a few over, but I couldn't smile because at that same time I had a costumer yelling at my for no reason about the bags. He was asking if I could be so stupid to only give him one bag. I didn't even see how much he had and hey, he did only ask for one bag. And I saw the gayest guy in the world, who was in my line, of course he had to be in my line but not the guy with the peru shirt. Oh well. well that is all for now. church is tomorrow! my dad is going to have an interview in front of church.

Tonight we sorta had a practice like. Hehe yeah. It was so much fun. I got to sing and play a Spanish song! Very fun! Matt was playing the drums and I was singing and playing bass. On Tuesday will be our official start of the "band"

Today I was so excited I totally figured out the BASS:D:D:D I figured out how to play music from sheet music! As I am typing I am listening to a Spanish song. It is so beautiful. I love the sound of Spanish. Work went pretty well tonight. Only has a problem with a guy who would pay for some of the bags.....but went very well.

Tomorrow I have the day off. I was suppose to work but a guy wanted to switch shifts with me. Therefore, I worked last week.

Today I woke up rather early for me, 7.25. I normally wake up like 8.30 or so. The first thing I did was walk downstairs and ask my dad who won the election...WHAT?!?!?! NOBOMA? I am totally against abortion and same sex marriage and the United States is going to have a president that is for it. Oh man. This is a guy we all need to pray for.

Well so then my day started. I got my Spanish done and started on grammar and then took a math test. I finished up my math test and finished my Bible test and took a break which consisted of writing this blog and playing bass guitar.

Today I have been working on school and reading. I didn't feel like doing math this afternoon so I read for a while and then got all the million of corrections done. Thank goodness I am done. I just have a math test to take. I don't have to work until Thursday morning. It is really nice! A great break from work to get lots of school done

Yesterday I got to borrow someones bass guitar! I have been playing it a bit today. but I don't have the amp yet. But I have just been having fun learning songs without the amp. You can still hear the bass a bit.

This evening the sun and clouds were amazingly beautiful! My camera couldn't get a very good picture but it got a little.

It snowed last Thursday! I can't wait to go snowboarding!!!

Working and Halloween

I have been having a bad headache for the last two days. But today I woke up and it was now where yo be found but in my dads head! It was great!!! because I had to work for 7.5 hours today. It was REALLY busy! The busiest day I have ever worked at SmartClub. So Time flew by REALLY REALLY fast! It was great.

Plans for Halloween-This evening- Scare little kids as they walk by, confuse little kids, and school. I haven't done school for two days. So time to hit the books...I'm out

Lost the diamond on my ring

Yesterday I totally freaked out when I was laying on my bed reading. I realized on of my two diamonds on my ring was gone. I didn't know when I lost it or for that matter where. I stood up and looked all over the bed. But this diamond is so tiny how on earth would I find it. So I prayed, and then I shook out all my blankets. I didn't hear anything fall. I started looking on my rug and couldn't feel or see anything. So I looked all over the floor and I FOUND IT by my desk and chair. I was soooo happy. Thankfully I found it!

School went alright yesterday. I am a bit tired of school so I was being a bit lazy. I got almost everything done. Last week made it 1/4 the way done with my last year of high school. And then there is college. phew. I am still not sure about college. I have applied to BBC and I have half way applied to GRACE.

Today I have to work for 7 hours.

Another one - Another day

Today I woke up not feeling well. I had another headache. I got up, ate some breakfast, took a shower and did Spanish. After I did Spanish I ate a second breakfast because I still didn't feel good. I decided to lay back down to bed.

Two hours roll by and I woke up. My head felt much better. I was still worn out but at least my head felt better. I then started on school and got some done. In between subjects I would stare out the window for a min and see how windy it was and how fast the clouds are moving. Back to school work I went.

I have done almost a full day of school, I just haven't done math.

Today I woke up with a really bad headache. I took medicine, and ate and then went back to bed. Woke up a few hours later and still had a bad headache. I decided to get up and take more medicine and then I took a shower. I feel back asleep a little later and sleep in the living room for an hour. Then my mom woke me up and said we were leaving for church in 10 min. I didn't feel well at all but I wanted to go to church. I made it to church and got to hear Martin. He is preaching on a study called "30 Days Left to live" Today was the second week for the series. I am really enjoying it.
There were two new teens at the church. I am glad that the church is growing. It was great to see Linn again. She is Martins daughter.

Concert!

Yesterday was a busy day. We went to church down in Drammen. Actually two churches. So we drove down there two times. Lots of driving time but it was a good time with the family. After we went to the church in the evening the Pastor invited us to his house. He has a daughter and a son. Their daughter is 15 days older than I and their son is two months older than Landon. It works out good! The girl, Linn, and I went to a concert at her old church. It was a lot of fun! The two managers of the group talked about post-modernisim and also talked about that we need to know who we are. They showed a few clips from movies and then played a song of an aritist for examples. It was really good to hear what they had to say. Very ture of what they said too! After they talked for about 30 min the band started playing some music. They lyrics were amazing. I really had a lot of fun both hearing the music and getting to know Linn.

Today we are having the Shifflets(Western European director), Burns, and the one other couple over. There will be twelve of us total. My mom is making a big dinner, Landon and I helped put everything together onto the table.

Last Wednesday I started on my Peru Scrapbook. It will be amazing when It is finished. A great memory book! I miss Peru so much. Right now I am praying about returning to Peru this summer.

I have a minute, so I thought I would update my blog. School is going great! I worked 31 hours last week. That was a long week. But this week I don't work until Friday. They asked me to come in today (Tuesday) but I said I couldn't. I want a little break. Lately I have been searching about colleges. I am looking into going to BBC in Clarks Summit PA.

Three months today since I came back from Peru. I miss it so much. I am praying about going back next year.Please pray for me as I make college decisions and a decision about returning to Peru.

Bike Ride

Mom and I took "the loop" bike ride this morning. It is a small little loop but goes straight up at the beginning. Half way though the loop we took a different path and I took some pictures. It was a bit chilly but still a nice ride. The sun was shining so it was "inviting" as my mom put it.

For the past six weeks I have been reading thought James in my devotions. It is a great study. I am really enjoying it. Focus, Read, Respond, Pray, and Stretch are the sections in a day. In focus it gets your mind on God. Read-You read a few verses in the Bible. Respond is a small paragraph about what you just read. Pray is what you can pray about. Stretch stretches you in your life. It shows you how to put what you just read and learned into everyday.

School is going great. I am caught up in everything but Vocab.

I woke up around 8.00 and ate breakfast. After taking a shower and getting ready for the day I started on my school work. I was done around 14.00. It went really well. After that I was able to talk to my sister and play around on the computer. Then 17.00 came and I headed off to work. Work went really well today. They are getting a lot of new products so it is a mess there. We are also getting lots of new codes for the fruits and vegetables so it is a good thing I just started. That way I didn't learn all the old codes and then turn around and have to learn all the new ones. Just a VERY few are the same. It didn't get too busy so I got to relax quite a bit.

School is going fairly well. I am struggling in vocab. It is hard to learn words and definitions. My Bible class is a big stretch for me. Thinking WAY outside the box and all. My dad has been helping me a lot on it which really helps.

Spanish is going great. I am really enjoying learning the language, Especially after visiting Peru. Last year it was the subject I was always way behind on and I was always putting it off. This year, after going to Peru, it is the subject I am way a head on and I do some Spanish in my free time just to learn the language. I still talk to some of the people I met down in Peru so I think maybe that is why I am wanting to learn it so much!

Tomorrow evening I have work at SmartClub from 17.00-22.15

Church - Bydelskirken!

Yesterday we got to go to Bydelskirken! I like that church. There were a few teens there yesterday. After church we went over to the pastors house for supper. He has a girl who is 18 and a boy who is turned 16 today. They are the same ages as Landon and I. It was a really great time to fellowship with them.

Today I woke up and read some papers about working at SmartClub. Then I quickly ate some food and then headed out the door for an eight hour day at work. It went very well. Of course there are always people who aren't satisfied with the prices but it went very well. My 10 minutes breaks and my lunch breaks were at the right times! I am very happy about today. It was very busy since it's Saturday. Thanks for all your prayers!

Tonight I had four of my friends over. It was such a great time to be together. We made pizza and then we played games and a game outside called "kubb" and then we came inside and played a game and then we make fruit pizza and talked and then it was really late and they had to go home. Tuesday was my first day of work. It went very well but it was very long. Seven hours is long for a first day. By the end of the day I was doing the cash register by my self. When I got home from that day I ate a little supper then we straight to bed. I was so extremely tired. My eyes hurt so bad. When I woke up the next day I had a headache but was able to get up in time for my dentist appointment. The dentist appointment hurt a lot but I made it though. After the dentist appointment I took a nap. I was hoping the numbness was gone by the time I woke up but it wasn't. I woke up 1.15 hours before I had to go to work. I went to work at 17.00 and was suppose to work until 22.15. I got really shaky and week and looked at my long line I had of people to check out. I said to one of the other higher up cashiers that I had to go throw up but I didn't know what to do because I had a long time. He told me just to go, I mean if you have to throw up GO! So I went and came back and started checking people out. But the guy said I shouldn't keep working and to go and talk to the shift leader. So I did and he told me to go home. What a second day of work. Today(Thursday) I am doing much better. I worked one less hour last night.

On Saturday I have to work 8 hours. Pray that I will have the strength and I won't be too tired after work. Thanks!

Got to talk to JoyLynn again today. I found this program called poivy and it lets me call JoyLynn's cell phone for free. It has been really nice. I can call her almost anytime. The doctors just found out she has a disease. It is not too serious right now but if you could pray that it doesn't get serious that would be great. School has been going well. I have fallen back on my Bible subject because it is confusing but my dad is helping me. I am pretty far a head in Spanish. I really enjoy learning Spanish. Today Margaret and Matt came over and hung out for a bit. We played a few games and ate supper.

The interview went well. There was only one question I didn't totally get. But it still went well. He is going to let me know tomorrow late afternoon to let me know if I got the job. He will be interviewing two others tomorrow but there are three open spots. He said that it is a good chance I will get the job then. Still pray thought

About two week ago I put in a application at a store called SmartClub. They sent an e-mail to me and said they would give me a call two weeks later. Yesterday was the two weeks mark and I hadn't heard from them. My parents went on a bike ride to Rema 1000( a grocery store) today and said they are looking for workers. I decided to write an application to send to them. As i was writing the application I got a call from SmartClub. The man said he would like to interview me tomorrow(Thursday) at 2pm. Please pray that the interview will go well and I will understand everything. And most of all that I will get the job. Thanks for your prayers.

My cold is getting some better. I am still coughing but my throat doesn't hurt.
Just started my second week of school. Last week went well even though I had a cold. This week should even go better. I have Math, English, Spanish, Economics and Bible this year. I love studying Spanish. I really like the sound of the language. This year in English I am going through vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and will be reading some different stuff. Getting ready to take the SAT at the end of this year calender year. For Math I am finishing up my Saxon Algebra2. I am also doing consumer math.

Our house is getting more and more put together. Right now my parents are putting up family pictures on the wall going up the stairs.

Lately I have been getting more information on what I want to do for my major in College. I am thinking about a program called ARRIBA. JoyLynn's roommate did the program. I would go to a college for two years then I would go to Peru for one year and work there and have school and then I would go back to a college for my senior year.

We sent Ryan off to college last friday. Today is his first day of College.

JoyLynn asked me today to pray for Alyssa Ford. She got in a really bad car accident. Her parents are missionaries in Thailand and are there now. Alyssa is in Tennesse at a hospital. Please pray that she will heal soon and the doctors will know if she should has surgury or not.

A few days ago the weather really dropped during the night and I first got a soar throat. Then I got a runny nose and now I have a cough. Please pray that I will feel better soon. It is no fun having a cold.

Job Searching

Yesterday I applied for a job at a place called SmartClub. It is like a tiny Wal-Mart. I was going to apply at a place called IKEA(e-KAY-ah) but I couldn't figure out how to. It was really confusing how to do it online. Pray that I will be able to find a job soon.

School starts tomorrow! Landon will be going to Nadderud Videregående and I will be homeschooled. Landon has three more years and this is my last year. I will be going to college next year. I am still trying to decide where I want to go. I am thinking about going into some sort of missions. What I would like to do in my future is work at a children´s home or orphange in South America. I would like to work with children. I would like to ask for your prayers as Landon and I start school again. Last year wasn´t the best year ever in school. I was very lazy and not in a school mood at all. So If you could pray that I will work hard and do what I am suppose to do in a day on that day.

We have been doing lots of unpacking these last three days. With all the unpacking comes dust, and with dust comes ... well let just say I am allergic to dust. So lots of sneezing. hard breathing, stuffed up head. hehe. But besides being allergic it is going very well. My mom is already done with the kitchen and the bathroom and most of her bedroom. She is now starting on the living room. the house is coming together.

Today my parents went to oslo and signed a contract for a house! We got a house!!! We have taken one load over. These next few days will be full of moving! The house is in a city called Nesbru. We would of liked a house closer to Bekkestua but this house looks great too.

Dad Preaching

Today was my dad's first time preaching in Norwegian. He has done Bible studies before but has never preached. He did a very good job. Even though he said some words wrong he still did a great job.

After church we went over to the head leaders house. We had beef stew and talked for a little bit. After we talked Gunnar(head leader of church) took us out to his little work shop and showed us a little bit of what he likes to do. The first time we met him he came us little spinning tops that has a Bible verse on it. Now we got to see how he made it. Landon got to make one himself.

On Sunday July 20th, 2008 my family and I had a little devotional. We didn't go to a service because there were none around because it is vacation time. The devotional was very emotional for some of us. We talked about having to wait. My dad doesn't know where God is going to take him and we don't know where we are going to live. After devotions I started having all kinds of words in my head. I took the words out and put it on paper and wrote this...

Days of waiting and waiting and waiting. We have looked at numerous houses but none of them seem to be the one. Keep praying for my Dad to know where he should start working. And please pray for my parents in guidance to which house we should rent.

My days aren't full at all. A few days ago I started on a bit of school work. Yes that is how bored I am. Haha. I started on Bible last, Spanish yesterday, and English today. Tomorrow I will start on Math.

Lately I have been looking into colleges again. I was thinking about GRACE and Cedarville but now I am looking into a program my sisters roommate did. She went to BBC for two years and then went to Peru for 1 year and then went to BBC again for 1 year. I was talking to JoyLynns old roommate for a while the other day. I am excited to see where God will lead me. I am praying about which college and which direction I should go.

That is about what my days have been filled with, or not so filled
Today I took a bike ride to a house in Bekkestua, the same town we have lived in the whole time we have been here. I really felt it in my legs afterwards. I havn't riding my bike very much at all. Haha

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday,(just for you Pastor Mark) We went and visited the church my dad is going to preach in next sunday. It was different. But nice. We were the only teens there. There was about 14 people there today. We also went to a summer gathering, that I told you about before and there there were lots of people.

Houses, still haven't found one yet but God know which one is ours. We got to visit two today.

Please pray we find a house soon and that my dad will know where to work.

Today we went to Gjøvik, where Bjørn Olav and Mai Sissel lives. We had a typical norwegian lunch and then Margaret and I went to the playground outside and took pictures. Matt, Ryan, and Landon played fotball, while all our parents had a meeting.

It took about two hours to drive up there. Roads in Norway are so curvy. I don't like norwegian roads. Hehe. but the trip went well

Today I got to hang out with Lene, Silje and Anne Berit!!!!! It was so much fun. We went to Oslo together. First we tried on some funny looking sunglasses at a shop and then we walked everywhere around Oslo. After that we went to FrognerParken. That was funny. We took tons of crazy picture! We took picture in the grass, on the statues and jumping! That is pretty much what has been up today. It has been fun! Better than sit at home and do nothing. haha

Today I got to hang out with Lene and Silje, It was fun again. I also got to see Anne Berit! It was nice to see her again! Can't wait to hang out with her more! My Norwegian is going pretty good but Spanish words keep coming out. It is pretty funny how I talk.

Today I got to hang out with Lene and Silje. It was so much fun!!!! I was stumbling a little on my norwegian since I had not talked it in a while but it still was a blast! It was so great to see them again. We walked all around Bekkestua and got ice cream and then went to my place to get a drink and then to their place and hung out more.

Tonight we went to another Norwegian sorta church. It was a church picnic like. A get-together. The food was really good! I had a piece of bread with cream cheese and grapes on it. Had never had it before but it was good!!!

Tonight we are back at the Burns after being at Gjønnesskogen. We had been at Gjønnesskogen for 2 weeks. We will be at the Burns for 3 days and back to Gjønnesskogen.

Anne Berit called me tonight on my goodness it was funny, she kept talking and talking. And then my dad got on the phone for a sec and the call got disconnected. So i wasnt able really to talk long. But it was great. I can't wait to see her!

Sleepover at the Hauens

Last night we had a sleepover at the Hauen's house. Pretty much the whole time we races on this track. I won only once. It was pretty fun. We walked to the beach last night, it was really nice and warm! And then this morning the girls went to the beach while the guys built another race track.

Last night I could not sleep very well, I am wondering if it is a really late JeTLag. So I woke up then at noon today since I didn't get any sleep during the night. I woke up about 5am and then got up at 5.30 am for a few hours and then went back to sleep. After we got around we went to a lake walk area called Burudvannet. Normally there isn't very many people there at all but it was sooooo busy today. But we walk further in the forest by the lake and found a spot where there weren't so many people, actually none just our family. Landon found a zip-line. But it went into the water so he didn't try it. But he climbed up the tree to get it.

Our old house here in Norway and where are are at right now, which is two houses down, are very close to a fotball stadium. My dad was watching it on tv but we could hear the yells and shouts and cheers. It is really fun.

We still havn't been able to find a house but we have only been here for less then a week. But right now we are staying at our friends house. They are on vacation so they let us stay here for about 4 weeks. It is two houses down from our old house. We had to move out of our old house because they sold it. A new family has moved in and are painting it and making it look different. But this area is definitely home. When we are looking for a house we want it to be in this town, Bekkestua.

Rain Rain and More Rain, and guess what, More Rain

Yep the title tells it all. Since we have gotten here there has been tons and tons of rain.

It is Sunday around 4pm. I slept in real late, til about noon. I went down stairs and said to my mom, didn't you know it is Sunday. Aren't we going to go to church? Well she told me church is at 5.pm all the Norwegian churches don't have church for a few weeks. Because here in Norway July is the dead month. Everybody goes on vacation. There are only two churches open in this area. Two English churches. IBC and Oslo Community. We are no longer going to be going to IBC so we will be going to Oslo Community Church. It is their last sunday so we are going to go and encourage the Pastor.

Been here in Norway for 3 1/2 days now. I am getting used to the time difference. Not too much has happened today.We did grocery shopping and that is about it. These past two days we got our car and our living something or other done here. So Norway knows we are back in Norway. Our Car is all set to drive again. Everything was approved. We have two new license plates. Very styleish ones.

I just started a book called "I would die for You" It is about a boy going on a missions trip to Peru. It is a good book so far, I am on chapter 6.

Well hope everyone is doing well in the States!

P.S. Does any one want to send me some hot weather? Hehe I miss it. It is cool here. My family likes it, I wish it would get hotter. Hehe oh well.

Yesterday I saw two moose, and one white tale fox! It was crazy. I only say one moose in 4 years before. Haha it was sweet. I am doing well here. Even though I havn't gotten to see too many friends yet it has been good. I am still trying to get adjusted to the time.
